Although grounded in Hip Hop, his music draws inspiration from a variety of genres including Soul, Jazz, Electronica and Dub.
He first appeared producing tracks on acclaimed albums by the likes of Deborah Jordan and Replife, gaining radio exposure and approval from the likes of Gilles Peterson (BBC Radio 1) and Simon Harrison (Basic Soul) in the process.
Following the success of Life Sketches Vol.1, manchester based producer Mecca:83 returns with a full album of deep instrumental Hip Hop. Spanning 15 tracks, the record exhibits a wide range of styles, filling the gaps between classic Hip Hop production and forward thinking electronic beats.
