The Insomniac's Ode, Vol. 1 is the culmination of years of effort and passion by S!X - Music. This compilation represents the product of extensive work and exploration. Many of the artists featured here have been a significant source of inspiration and joy long before the label even existed. Working with these incredible individuals has been a true blessing. The result is a compilation where every track shines, and there's no need to skip a single song. 

As is customary for our label, we aim for diversity within a specific genre. Our goal is to showcase all facets of what we call modern Trip-Hop - a blend of instrumental Hip-Hop, Nu Jazz, Abstract Hip-Hop, Beatmaking, and other forms of sample-based beat music. This album is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a DJ set at a big party, a romantic evening, a solitary night, or a warm summer gathering with friends. 

We extend our deepest thanks to everyone who contributed a track to this project. We also want to express our gratitude to Clément Marques, duskii, Swik, Paddy Besser, Markus Oberndorfer, Jiannis Taxidis, Fabian Bühler, and Julian Naaf for their invaluable support.
