FALCON1 & DJ EPROM - DILLA MIXTAPE
"James Yancey's contribution to contemporary music has been described many times, and we have nothing to add here. J Dilla left behind a wealth of sounds that carry a wealth of emotion and musical erudition. With this mix, we want to do our part to commemorate the legacy of one of the best beatmakers Mother Earth has given us. Even though he's been gone for 10 years, his music still lives on and is gaining more and more recognition.
We present an original selection of productions, beat-tap sketches, original samples, and tributes to the work of Jay Dee, including a tribute by DJ Eprom titled "Maybe Edit," prepared exclusively for this mix. We focused primarily on the atmosphere, so you won't find a huge amount of DJ tricks and dynamic mixes here. The radio play also includes quotes from interviews and two turntable skits."
