Railster - Defrag System
Defrag System is the new work by Railster (the musical alias of Andrea Uliana), a Friulian producer and multimedia artist active between Udine and London. The album collects the most significant tracks composed between 2020 and 2024—a selection shaped over time, between personal experiences, deep listening, and musical intuition.
The title is both a poetic provocation and a clear statement of intent. Inspired by the concept of digital defragmentation, it turns the idea into an artistic gesture: using one’s free time—that seemingly empty space between life’s obligations—to gather and reorganise fragments of emotion, sound, and thought. The result is a personal sonic diary, a semi-ironic act of creative optimisation, pushing back against the noise and productivity obsession of modern life.
